2025 Coach Pitch

Welcome to GBA Coach Pitch! The 2025 vice president of Coach Pitch is Zack Weston. You may contact him directly at zeewest8@yahoo.comSpring 2025 registration for Coach Pitch will be open November 29, 2024 through February 14, 2025. No late registrations will be processed.

The registration fee for spring 2025 Coach Pitch is $30, with a sale of a $10 discount Nov. 29th through Dec. 9th. If you have concerns regarding the registration fee, please contact Zack. GBA is committed to ensuring all players are able to play this season.

Coach Pitch is open to boys and girls age 5 or 6 on April 30, 2025. In other words, their birthdays fall between May 1, 2018 and April 30, 2020. We do not hold try-outs for Coach Pitch and all skill levels are welcome to register. However, if your 5-year-old child is not quite ready for Coach Pitch, we encourage you to sign them up for T-ball Little Sluggers instead. Age 5 is a flexible year for GBA registration, so please pick the best level for your player.

Coach Pitch at GBA is an in-house rec program. GBA teams will play other GBA teams in a regular season, and a short playoff and championship series. The season runs April through June. Weather and make-up games will dictate the final length/end-date of the season.

When batting, all players will be pitched to by their coach. At this level, we use foam core baseballs for your child's safety.

Schedules will be determined closer to the start of the season. Typically, players can expect at least 1 practice and 1 game a week. Your player's coach will communicate with you directly about practice schedules.

There is a service/fundraising duty for all families of GBA players. For each player you register, you will need to work 2 pop stand shifts (usually 1.5 hours each shift). If you do not want to work the pop stand, you will have to pay a $50 opt-out fee per child when registering. The Pop Stand schedule will be assigned, although you may trade your assigned shift with another family.  Each player will also be responsible for a  $10.00 contribution to basket raffles for All-Star Day in June.
